Latest Results and Fundraiser Update
At first count, it looks like we made $151.50 in the two days we sold at the vendor location.
It has become apparent that the vendor was under the impression we would just run the one weekend. Therefore, I do not think it is appropriate to ask for more. He has been very generous to let us set up at his establishment for a weekend and it would be pushing it to ask for another. That is not the way for us to show appreciation for his willingness to help us! Let's remember that he has a business to run and that that is his family's livelihood.
So well done on our weekend. We did all right. Thanks to those who helped!
In the meantime, we need to brainstorm what we could do with remaining product (still a significant amount). Let me know your ideas. You can leave a short message on my home phone, e-mail me (preferrable) or leave a comment on this post.
Thanks, all.

Correction
Look at the schedule to the right. We are actually going to go 10 am to 3 pm each day.
It would be good to have two people each shift if possible, but if you want to split it up with a partner that's fine as long as we don't get real busy! You should be there at 9:30 to set up.
Thanks!

Any Other Ideas?
Look below for a fundraising update and the plan to sell the rest of the product we had for July 3 & 4.
I'm open to suggestion here, folks, but we gotta move it!
Keep paddling!

Update
Update on fundraising activities:
July 3 & 4
Day 1 gross: $187
Day 2 gross: $527
Total gross: $714
Cost of booth..... $100
Supplies............. $25
Net profit........... $579
July 5 - Bottle Drive
Donations and bottle returns: $125.65
Combined with the Garden party profits ($131.85), we have reached a total of $836.50.
I'm sure we were all hoping for more revenue from the 3rd and 4rth efforts. Which brings us to this......
We still have a lot of product to sell and it must all be sold!!! Soon!
I have made arrangements with a local vendor who has a lot of traffic on Fridays and Saturdays to allow us to set up at his establishment. This is a big opportunity for us and we need to sell everything.
I have posted a schedule to the right (Here we go again!). Sign up soon and often!
This will be much easier. Everything will be on a small scale and I promise not to throw out my back again! Call or e-mail for details and signups. Quick.
Let's just try this for a couple of weekends and see how it goes!

We Still Need...
1. 1 large table
2. personnel (check the list to the right); We should have at least 3 people for each time slot
3. freezer and refrigerator: I have tentatives lined up that will probably be a go; watch this site for confirmations and keep the offers coming
4. Root beer: We're half way there and should have more donations tomorrow. I'm workin' hard!
5. personnel for a bottle drive on the 5th
I know that the 5th is the fourth day in a row for our fundraising efforts and that this might be the first time in a while you've heard about it. On the other hand, a lot of you have not been able to work the events due to holiday commitments with family. I completely understand that. The 5th, however, gives you the opportunity to contribute something. It's after the holiday. It's summertime. Time to step up, folks.
Bottle Drive: Meet at 10 a.m. at Jokah's. Bring a truck or SUV and some bags if you are able. Routes will be determined that you can follow. It's fun, easy and, after the 4th, could yield a LOT of returnables!

EXTRA! EXTRA!
EXTRA baked goods from the Garden Party were sold at a local business thanks to Susan G. They brought in another $30.25. Nice work!
EXTRA ice cream has been donated by Gifford's Famous Ice Cream! They upped their original generous offer from 15 gallons to 21 gallons! We now have reached our goal with the ice cream. I should hear from the beverage company tomorrow (stay tuned).
EXTRA items could be sold at the fundraiser. It has been suggested that we make whoopie pies and/or offer sundaes in addition to floats. I think the simpler we keep things the better. On the other hand, if a group wants to get together and make a large batch I think we can do that. On such a big scale, I think it would be appropriate for the Club to purchase the ingredients.
EXTRA time is something we do not have! Keep the communication going!
EXTRA thanks to people who are making this happen. And remember, if you can motivate others to help out, we can share the work!
